Kona Shoot the Ride Photo Contest

Posted: March 2nd, 2009 by Karl Rosengarth

Kona Shoot the Ride Photo ContestKona’s 2nd Annual Shoot the Ride Photo Contest has some pretty simple rules: “Beauty shot, some sort of bike connection, however distant or obvious, and that’s it. Friends on bikes, non-friends on bikes, family on bikes, dogs on bikes, you on a bike, chicks on bikes … you get the picture?”

If you think you’ve got what it takes, send tightly edited digital submissions to: photos@konaworld.com and the folks at Kona will get back to you after the discerning eyes of the Kona staff wrangle and wrestle to determine the top three.

First place receives a $500 credit at the Kona USA Web store, second place a $150 credit and third a $50 credit. Winners will be announced in May 2009 and all of the finalists will be posted on Konaworld.com and the top three photographs will be used in the Kona mega marketing machine. That’s at least 15-minutes-worth of fame, eh?

Fine print: All submissions should list the photographer’s full name, email address, country and city of residence and daytime phone number. All photos submitted must be originals. The photos can be color, black and white, sepia tone, you name it. All submissions should be sent in jpeg format at 72 dpi. Contest winner and runners up will be required to submit hi-res print-ready files, in formats to be determined, sized no larger than 11″ x 17″ at 300 dpi resolution. More info here.
