100mm or 80mm? The catalog has them putting 80mm on all hardtail 29ers. However I have a FOX F29 RLC 100. It can be reduced to 80mm. Suggestions?

My personal preference is to rigid. YMMV

As for a 100mm fork on a 80mm bike, well, ... on a 26" it slackens the HTA about an degree or so IIRC. Don't know how that works on a 9'er's steeper HTA and different trail, but I imagine it would still slacken it up a little. So, if the bike was an XC rocket with an 80mm fork it would probably still be fairly rideable with a 100mm fork, with an advantage on the downhills.

And reducing travel? You'll have to ask Rocky :p

Midas are you in U.S.? They sell the frame alone, most parts I had.

that's a sweet stumpy, my son has a stumpjumper 26er though that's a few years old, same color. i ride sometimes, because he rarely rides it.

i don't own a specialized personally, but they make a great bike.

that was my other guess. the specialized stem threw me off, since that doesnt come with the frame only option.

yea. chicago.

why go 80mm?

why go 80mm?

quicker steering, and drop the front for climbing, and i personally dont believe 29er need as much suspension.

with the 44mm offset of that Fox Fork I'd leave it alone at 100mm and ride the snot out of that bike!

Sleek looking ride you've got there!!! Nice job!
