How big are you? Mscotch broke his frame [there's a thread somewhere] but they warrantied it fully. I know GF's ride nice.

I agree about the 26ers.

Well, dja hit up the savings this morning?

Are you looking at the blue one the blue-ish one or the green-ish one? I never really liked full suspension bikes but ended up with one anyway.. The Bontrager rubber grips nice but dose offer some rolling resistance. I don’t even mind the other Bontrager stuff except for the wheels that come on that bike.

wouldnt touch it with a 20 foot barge pole mate..the corporate pigswills at misfit central have got an end of year clearance sale happening at the mo...shits goin orf at bargoon prices..come on shoppers get your flabby arse to their dot com site and lose untold wads of cash to help keep this company afloat.

thanks

woke up to take a leak....that beer before bed is a bad idea for old guys!;)
what more do you want to know about the hifi?

I have 2 friends that each got one the past couple weeks. One the base model, one the pro, both 29ers.
They seem to like them.... a lot.

back to the sack

The new Hi-Fi Pro 29 is a beast of a bike for the money. You won't be disappointed. I have ridden it and I really liked it, but then again I have a similarly handling Paragon, so I am partial. :D

You might be a better advocate for Misfit if you used language more people could understand.

I would go with Shimano at the lower price points. I had some pretty lousy wheels on my '01 Sugar 3.

Now the Bont. Race Lights on my Vicious have been excellent.

The Truvativ cranks that say Bontrager? Not so much. Pure junk.

Demo'd a HiFi 29er at the Fair Hill race this year and didn't care for the way it rode, and also it felt "rattl-y", if such a word exists...

Save a few more coins for an Intense Spider 29er.

I love mine, best bike ever, but it's not like I had such a huge sample, and as long as it works I can ride anything.

Only drawback for me is the small clearance for the rear tire, which limits how big a tire you can use, and the placement of the cable guide near the bottle cage mounts, which makes it a problem to mount the pump holder under the bottle cage.

I pointed out that last one to Gary, but it's too late for 2009.

Other than that, it's the third 29er I have tried and the first I really liked, but the others weren't mine and this one is so I used my own kit. I have the Maverick seatpost system, and it's hard to ride any more without quick adjustment available.

My Avid Juicy Seven brakes had a serious habit of fading on big hills, but the new brakes on the HiFi don't. It climbs great, and makes tight switchbacks with no problem in either direction, up or down.
