Does anyone know anything about this frameset? I am probably going with a Kelly, or a Surly for my new 29, but i like that looks of this bike. any ideas or comments?

Hey Ben,
The cooks cruisers are swanky lookin' rigs for sure. I'd bet that they're put together quite well. Other models you may wanna check out:
Ionic puts out nice steel 29" for about $600.
Curtlo makes full custom for about $700.
Peyto does the same for $900 CDN, so about $2 US
There's a new 'custom' shop outta Shokapee MN(yeah, not to far fomr us!) that will be doing a lugged steel 29" with a 1 1/8" headset(fork will be included). For about the same price as Surly. Kogswell is the name. Look 'em up on google.
QBP will also be putting out two 29" shocks. Both with carbon lowers, one air, one coil. Both affordable. I rode one, it was nice feeling.
I might be moving to Northfield(just applied for a job in town there), we'll have to hook up.

In passing, I noted that the '04 Fisher catalog lists 29-ers with three different models of suspension forks. Two Marzocchis and one Manitou SouthFork. ..or something with South in it.
The Cook Bros cruisers are outstanding. Everytime I see my buddy's, I want to take a second on the house and get one.

I know about the two Marzocchis, but the manitou is new to me. i think it might be a spinoff of a hybrid fork.
unclefuzzy, (marty?)

I had applied with the City for a Planner position. Didn't get it. Where did Mike's move to anyways? I've never been able to find it.

sorry you didn't get the job, funny thing is, i know the current city planner. is he leaving? or don't you know? i have worked on his bike a lot. he's a pretty good guy. Are you still looking at moving to northfield?
mike's isn't that hard to find. if you can find hogan brothers,(a sandwich shop,) it is right out of there back door and to the left. it's a little brick building that faces the public parking lot. talk to you later
