Any opinions? Seems pretty sweet for sub-$1,200. Does anyone own one?

I see these things used on Craigslist & ER classifieds all the time. People love them, but they love to resell them too.
If I were you, I'd build up a frame custom — just head over w/beers to Kens and your buds and grab your junk there — make an afternoon of it!

The Chum red looks real good. Parts spec on it is basically a custom build anyways. The only item that really stands out as a headscratcher is the stem. Its a nice looking Kalloy stem, but still, its a kalloy. It gets the job done for sure, and helps lower the over all cost.
Other wise, Torsion bars, BB7's, Surly hubs, Salsa rims, and the cherry on top, the Mr. Whirly cranks. Decent deal for sure!

Well,
If I can move a few things around financially, I might just do this.

Fiddy,
I have a KM starter kit if you're interested.
Just add frame, wheels, a chain, and tires.

It's a versatile bike. I like mine. I won't resell it. I forced my Brother-in-law to buy one (used for $650 with a decent build) They're a little heavy (so I hear) but mine definitely pedals better than my 5" bike (that I sold 3 years ago because I always chose the KM to ride) Personally I wish they'd bring the campstove and skidmark colors back.
