Hey, just wondering if anyone's had a chance to get a Flight and a Mary side by side to compare weight, or if anyone's had a chance to ride both?

I have bought two flights... correction, 3, one for the little lady recently. A total of 4 Redlines in our experience. The flight is hard to beat. I have not ridden a Mary, so I have no input for your reading pleasure. My large Flight weighs 23.5 lbs. Thats not bad. They feel good on the trails.. and cause random smiles. My little woman loves hers... and I wont part with mine. There are in action trail pictures in my thread "Define your Style"

23.5 is a lot lighter than a Mary - is that with the factory build?

Yes sir.. the only thing I have changed are the pedals and grips. That is of course, if my scale is accurate.

I just checked the Haro site and they're listing 27.5 lbs for a Mary SS.

I may have lied about my Flights weight.. I put it on different scale and it said 25.3 (certified) Either way.. it is still the funnest bike I have had.

That was a mistake, not a lie :-) There's a difference.
That's still a good weight though.
I'm hoping to get to ride at least a Raleigh XXIX this weekend at a race I'm working. I'll be wandering around offering to let people ride my bike if they'll let me try theirs on for size. It'd suck if someone took off on my Phoenix, leaving me with a $4-500 singlespeed though. :p
Oh, BTW, the race is here http://www.bikebfat.com/derby.htm if you care.
