Register Today!

Planning a new trail? We have sessions on projecting trails usage for new trails and on land acquisition techniques for trails.

Looking for ideas on trail maintenance? We have session on environmentally sensitive trail maintenance, on the latest rail-trail maintenance handbook, and on managing invasive species.

Looking for help in managing a trail or greenway? We have session developing multi-municipal agencies and local trail support organizations or chapters.

Interested in planning a greenway? We have at least four sessions that will cover current greenway projects across the state; find out what is working and what is not.

Need more $$$? We have a session on practical grantwriting tips by DCNR staff that you may find helpful preparing your application for the upcoming DCNR grant round, and we have a session on successful financing and fundraising ideas.

What trail or greenway doesn’t need a bridge or good signs? We have sessions on utilizing bridges of various types and sizes and on proper trail signage.

Considering an ATV/snowmobile trail or area? We have sessions on the new ATV/Snowmobile manual and on the Rock Run ATV Park.

Finally, we’ll have updates on the latest state and federal trail and greenways information from DCNR and NRPA. There will also be an exhibit area featuring commercial and non-profit displays.

All this is packed into two-days at the 2nd Annual PA Greenways and Trails Summit being held on May 11-12, 2006 at the Harrisburg-Hershey Holiday Inn in Grantville.

There is still time to register and walk-ins will be accepted though we prefer you fax, email or call you registration in advance.

The registration fee of $85 ($75 for PRPS members) includes sessions, two lunches, breaks, social, a backpack, and CEUs. Parking is free. Daily and student rates are available.
