Gnomes Gone Wild? Yes, in Wausau, Wi September 22-24 that's what I'm talkin' bout'! Gnome-Fest 3 "Tres Gnomebres"
There's just a few spots (literally) left for those of you looking for an awesome MTB roadtrip to the sweet Gnome-o-licious singletrack of 9 Mile Forest. Incidentally, 9 Mile is this years' venue for the NORBA 24 Hour National Championship. Once preregistration closes, no amount of whining will get you in the gate. $18, free t-shirt and swag to boot.
Here's the plan... a killer night ride and scavenger hunt (Gnome hunt) on Friday night with free kegger party and bonfire to follow. Saturday it's Enduro time in the afternoon, a huge potluck chili and homebrew contest and with much anticipation the Minicycle Figure-8 Death Race in the evening. More social beverages, plastic kiddie pools, more fires, etc. Sunday recover, maybe polo if we have anything left. Sweet prizes to the winners, of course.
On a serious note, Gnome-Fest is all about having fun, being friends, meeting new riders and speading the love. Everyone at Gnome-Fest is cool with that.
