Brown County Breakdown Epic Off Road Ride

Registration is now available for the 2nd Annual Brown County Breakdown - HMBA Epic Mountain Bike Ride.

When: Sunday, October 15th
Where: Nashville, IN

Full weekend of events including a Trek demo day on Saturday, camping, cookouts, etc. Choose between the 35 mile, 50 mile, or epic 62 mile (100k) off road ride.

The Brown County Breakdown is the Hoosier Mountain Bike Assoc.’s largest fundraising event. All proceeds from this event go directly to the HMBA for future trail building. This event will also raise money to help HMBA meet their matching portion of the $150,000 Recreational Trails Program (RTP) Grant. This grant will help increase the trail system at Brown County State Park by over 100% in the next year or so.

The Breakdown is a great way to show off what is already in place, and generate support for the future.

I've ridden some of these trails, and gotta say that I was impressed. The fine Hoosier folks have done wonders for the southern part of the state, getting the approval of land managers and working hard to get grant $$ so as to maintain and create fine sustainable track that takes adavantage of every inch of elevation gain in the surprisingly hilly south central portion of Indiana state.
