I have a '91 MB2 that I've got built up as a commuter. It could be converted back into a trail bike with some small effort. I'm not using it all that much, and I'm looking to finance an upgrade on my current mountain bike. Let me know what you think.
I'd be willing to sell the frame alone, if that would work.
Hey Jim, any details on the 91' MB2? What size is the frame, price for frame only, price for complete bike?

I said it was an MB2, but it's an MB3: Sorry!
It's gunmetal grey and black. I replaced the rims with Campy 36-hole rims and they're a bit heavier, but they've held up to all sorts of use.
The original derailleur snapped, so it has a later model LX in place. It also has a 13-30 rear freewheel. I think the original wheels, which were Ritchey Comps are in storage someplace, but the sidewalls are getting thin. I still have the original Nitto flat bars and stem, and I believe the Deore levers and thumbshifters are still kicking around as well.
Price? I hadn't thought about it until I saw this thread. If I were to base it on sentimental value, I wouldn' t sell it at all. I'll have to check into what they're going for and get back to you.
This bike hasn't been a museum piece; I've put some hard miles into it.
