Wanted: original type Shimano XT V-brakes

Looking for the first generation XT or XTR V-brakes.

Not sure the number designation. I will post a pic later of what I want. One bike has the first gen version which I like a lot, the other bike has the newer or second gen which I don't like so much, both looks and performance.

Mims, I think you want the M739 (XT) v-brakes or the M950 (XTR).

I think the 750 series is similar to the 760 series.

It sounds like Mims wants the polished ones with parallel-push linkage.

The 760 is silver and black, like these...

This is the type I am looking for, circa mid-90's. I like this type better than the newer type as shown in the above post.

I actually dusted them off a bit before the pic.

I may have something for you...think I have at least one set that is in a box 'o parts...I'll try to dig them out tomorrow and let you know exactly what I got.

Ok I just checked...

Yeah, I have a rear set that was in a parts box. They haven't been on a bike in at least 4 years and are deathly in need of new brake pads. The front set is currently on my ghetto-fixie, and I may even be able to let you have those if in need of a full set. They're in a bit rougher shape than the ones in the picture though. I have some other v-brakes I can put on the ghetto-fix.

Pics of the rear set attached, if I did it right...let me know if you want them and we can work something out.
