Bend, OR

I'm graduating in the spring and am figuring out where I want to live. A company I want to work for has a branch in Bend, OR. I like to ride bikes and XC ski, like smaller rather than larger cities, and want to be able to commute to work. Bend fits most of those criteria.

Anyone have any other feedback about Bend?

It's an awesome town, and growing rapidly. If you can make a decent buck, move there while it's still quasi-affordable. I love Bend more for the area than the town, but town's got some good stuff too.

Seconded. A very cool place. It's on the eastern side of the Cascades so the snow is on the dry side. Mt. Bachelor is a very fun ski area. The town itself has loads of charm, and a good brewery/restaurant.

It's also where Adam Craig relocated to from Maine, if that tells you anything about the quality of the riding.
