ground up steel track bike race ready

i have this posted on craigslist denver--- i need to sell this bike so i can be a responsible american citizen and buy a car and some insurance. i love this bike... i just have seven track bikes so i need to sacrifice.

here is a bit about this masterpiece.

this is my 115th custom bike frame, it was born march of 2005. it is steel fillet brazed construction. columbus 'big ass aero' zona shaped downtube and seat stays, dedaccia seat tube top tube and fork blades. i also used some thick 4130 square chainstays that i milled thinner in the middle sections. it also has my custom machined dropouts with adjuster screws. it has been copper plated and naturally petina over the last year. contact me so you can check it out! it has been raced for one season and never crashed. there are no dents and the frame is in perfect alingnment.

geometry-

from the ground up:
wheel size= 700c
bottom bracket height= 11.625"
seat tube= center bb to top 50 cm, @ 75degrees
chain stay length=37.5-40.5 cm
top tube lenght= 53cm actual, negative four degree drop, slightly compact.
head tube= 123mm@74 degrees
campy record 1 1/8 threadless head set
fork rake= 35mm
***
this will best fit some one 5'5-5'8.
it is not recomended for street use, only track training and racing and drooling.

if i was commisioned to make this frame new for a customer i would have to charge 1800. (i can do that for you if you want, see my website)

i will sell just the frame, fork and head set for 1200 OR ill sell as a complete bike for 2000 with zipp disc and front wheel.

complete bike components are as follows-

suntour superbe 165 cranks with 50t chainring.
shimano cartridge bottom bracket
thompson elite black seat post
thompson 120mm stem
deda aluminum deep drop bars
san marco regal copper studded saddle
izumi njs chain- gold , including extra links.
15 t cog

NO PEDALS- you probably should have your own.

please check out my website to see that im legit!

That is a beautiful bike, Eric. Love the patina! I saw your bent-top-tube bike on Denver's Craigslist a couple weeks ago - love that one, too. Somebody's gonna be a proud owner of this work of art.

yeah i sold the aluminum bike last week- its new home will be in california and will be raced at the adt and encino velodrome.

i really liked that bike- i won my first pro track race on that one...

i have some more ideas for new track bikes that will have to present themselves this winter and spring. infact, i have a steel race bike on the jig right now.

stay tuned.
