Hello,
I'm starting a bicycle product review website. The legal work is getting wrapped up shortly and the meeting with the webpage designer is scheduled. Just curious if there are any western PA riders interested in hooking up. No money initially (at least until I get some of these start up costs paid back) but you will get to try out some decent gear.

What kind of product? Are we talking bikes too?
I can help you review a Misfit Psycles Dissent 29er SS from the perspective of a new rider who started to learn how to ride a bike a few months ago... my first steed, a Singlespeed Misfit Dissent.
If you are talking gear, then too bad I don't live out that ways, it sounds like fun!:D

That would be tremendous....!!!!!
The website is a part time venture for me (at least initially) and I just got slammed with a ton of work from my full time gig. I also just got back the initial proofs of the logo from the graphics guy and they suck. Do people not want to work anymore???? I will keep you posted and we should also plan on communicating directly on messenger or something.

Great idea. Just curious as to why you'd want to compete with bigger sites like MTBR though? I can think of some obvious reasons myself.
I work at a shop and get to demo bikes and products all the time. I'd share my input if you'd like.

mtbreview.com certainly contains a lot of info and they are probably the standard bearer...but that doesnt mean there isnt room out there for some other players. I also personally think the layout and design of mtbreview is horrible. It screams at you with ads and crap all over the place. Nothing against advertisemnts and they will certainly appear on my site as well...but I hope to do it better. Also..I am going to really concentrate on the travel aspect as well. I want this to be a site where people can come and on a boilerplate frame enter in info on recent adventure vacations they have been on. It wont be on just biking but if you took a kick ass kayaking day trip for instance then I want to hear about it and I'm hoping other people will as well. I have a few ideas on marketing and stickers to drive people to the site that I also believe will help it get off the ground. If you work in a shop and have some writing skills then I most certainly would be interested in speaking with you. Thanks!
