My buddy and I had a squirrel dart in front of me, stop between his wheels (while we were moving), pause, and instantaneously dart back behind me...

Better a squirrel than a skunk.

Yeah, you can eat the squirrel.

I've had a bird (finch or something that size) fly into my front wheel. Didn't get caught in the spokes but it was slammed to the ground. It flew off the shoulder of the road while I was going downhill, didn't circle back to see the results but I doubt it made it.

Especially when you marinate them in beer first, then throw 'em in the smoker.

If they ever evolve opposable thumbs we are in such trouble.... same with raccoons.

A buddy of mine cut a squirrel in half with his snowboard at snowmass a few years ago. It was... messy.
Also, anyone catch the deer story in Kranked 6? I'd rather have the squirrel, I think

that really is quite entertaining and sort of sad at the same time.
I imagine that they don't taste very well - when something's insides get smashed to that degree - it's sort of like marrinating the actual meat in barf,... or worse, its feces or both - hell there is probably pee in there too. mmm squirrel pee! "Where's my bib?"
I would have to argue that they are not fine eating. Maybe if you are stranded - perhaps (provided you have the faculties to actually kill or trap one). There are far better things to eat that are big enough to be worth skinning.

I had a high school classmate who hunted and killed a squirrel with his hockey stick. He started a fire and barbecued the thing, then devoured it. He was such a prick.
Funny that the only thing he technically got in trouble for was starting the fire.
This is the same kid who totaled his graduation gift on grad night--- a brand new Porsche 911.
