What do you think? I just like them. I have liked them for a long time. Transportation Or toy? I enjoy looking at them (obviously Dav does too).
Is there such a thing as a bad bike? (Exclude BLO's but even those have their place.) To be honest FS bikes don't excite me too much, but that just me.
Photos of (cool) bikes.

I agree wholeheartedly...and when there is something a little off, you can just tell immediately.

From Steve's blog. I think he's making some of the best looking bikes right now.

Does Gilligan not grasp the concept of "island"?
I mean, it's a nice bike even if The Professor had to help him with it, but it ain't getting him home.
Maybe he just did it to impress Mary Ann. Mmmmm, Mary Ann.....

Just thought I'd start the thread with something different and somewhat innovative.
Posted this pic before, but I see this kind of stuff quite often down here. Some bicycles are more than recreational vehicles.

She's still second runnerup to the title, "World's cutest farm girl". Second only to Daisy Duke and my beloved wife, The Beautiful Miss Kathy, who holds the crown. And yeah, I'm half in the bag on Wild Turkey and Coke. So what?

A bit more sophisticated approach to using bamboo (http://www.calfeedesign.com/bamboo.htm)as a frame material. Maybe the Professor (Dav) would be more impressed.

Them's just cruiser bars flipped over.
And some crappy quill stem; prolly Kalloy or less.
Coaster brake, even.
And it has a sloping top tube. "Scorcher", my ass.
The red rims are pretty spiffy though.
Still, a grand and a half seems a bit much to pay for what is basically just another beach cruiser.
Are we having fun yet?

Mims, you say that like it's a bad thing.
You're just jealous because your buddy 'Oogo keeps all the good booze for his self.

Maybe he's getting to that by aligning himself with the Iranian and Hezbola, but that for the Politics section.

Nah, them people that want to blow up the world don't feature alkyhaul; not one bit. Didja hear about the raghead cabbies at some airport that wouldn't pick you up if they thought you had booze in your luggage? I'm talking an American airport; not some third world little shithole.
And they won't let dogs in their cabs, either. Even seeing eye dogs. Claim they're "unclean". Damn, did you ever sit downwind of one of those stanky funkers? "Pot, meet kettle" indeed.
But yeah, this prolly belongs over in the Politics forum.

People, people. Focus. Back on topic.
Maybe bikes are the greatest use of the greatest invention (wheel). Can be used for trans., commerce, recreation, sporting endeavors (and arguably another form of commerce thereby), and something to argue about.
One can make the case that bicycles could end up as important to us as horses once were. O'course they'd be hard to pull a plow with...

I bet that turd weighs forty pounds. And the seatpost sticking though the frame makes it look like it's got a pecker. Ill conceived and poorly executed. C- at best.

The bike is absolutely the best idea that Fred and Barney ever had after creating the round things at each end.
