So, I try to never ride the thing, but I've been working late for the past couple days and when forced to choose between skiing and eating dinner I always choose dinner. Because I'm fat.

So I've been riding the trainer. I hate the trainer. The best part about it is making the playlist/workout for it. Thought I'd post mine and see if anybody did anything similar.

1. Illumination - Gogol Bordello (4 min). Easy spin up. Medium-tempo song to just get moving to.

2. Burning Beard - Clutch (4 min). More energy here. I alternate verses sitting and standing, and upshift on the last verse.

3. Watch Out - Atmosphere (4:15). Steady hip hop beat to get the legs pushing. I upshift twice over the course of the song and keep steady time.

4. SELLTHEHOUSESELLTHECARSELLTHEKIDSFINDSOM EONELSEFORGETITI'MNEVERCOMINGBACK -Dillinger Four (2:02) Try to die. Upshift twice and stand for two minutes.

5. From Martyrdom To Startyrdom - Bomb the Music Industry! (2:20) Upbeat song. Keep cadence high while letting legs recover from 2 minutes of D4 murder.

6. No One Wished to Settle Here - Mouth of the Architect (15:30). Steady effort to 3rd eye-opening prog metal. There's two fast/heavy parts here that have 2-minute standing heavy efforts.

7. Little Red Corvette - Prince (5:03). I just like Prince and this has a steady tempo to pedal to.

8. D4 = Putting the "F" Back In "Art" - Dillinger Four (2:12) Slower D4 song to recover to. Develop mental toughness by trying not to think about beer.

9. Matt's Song - The Soviettes (2:47). Downshift after the second verse starts. Develop mental toughness by trying not to think about sex with Suzy.

even music wasnt helping me recently, plugged in a copy of the transrockies rideguide 2005...under 'playall' it lasts 1.5hrs...only had 30minutes of shifting boredom after that.

You mean you don't ride SS on the trainer?

You just stepped off the pedestal I held you on.

look spring! Now if you glue some bees on your saddle before watching the TransRockies while on the trainer you can replicate that wonderful saddle sore sensation that you get after 16 hours on the bike in 2 days.

Just got off mine. Tour de France videos usually do it for me...although Phil and Paul do get a bit old after a couple hours. Otherwise its Family Guy DVDs. I really wanted to get out this weekend, but now we've got a foot and a half of snow. Can't even run in it, much less bike.

You have a truing stand mounted on your trainer?!?!?!

lacing NOT truing. and its a makeshift table fabricated of cardboard and ductape...holds the ipod, tv and dvd remotes, nipples, spokes, tools, water and a pee bucket.
