View Full Version : DC urban ride.
I frequent the capital often, but this is the first time I ever brought the bike to city ride. DC rocks, especially in the wee hours of the morning. I normally don't dig on rails to trails, but the Capital Crescent trail for a wind downafter hauling ass city style was tight. I also caught the tail end of the messenger race down there, all due to me cruising the city and meeting people. Word, word. I covered a huge portion of the area on both rides, and am now going to turn it into a habit. Solid.

Glad you had a good time. I love living here, and I think that D.C. has great road, urban, and cruising. When you find a good group of people to ride with, it rocks. If your still in town when you read this, Sunday the First of May is the Clarendon Cup a criterium not far from Georgetown.

Is there still a network of single tracks in between the C and O canal and the Potomac as you leave the G'town area? I went to GWU back in 87-92 and we used to ride all these hidden singletracks in the area, plus used to haul fishing gear to some great spots in between D.C. and Great Falls, VA along some of the trails.
