I'm pretty new to setting up risers and am dialing in my new Motolite; is there an ideal position/rotation for the riser bar? Maybe it's a preference thing. I set up my FSA 1" riser so the sweep is maximized but it still gives plenty of rise. My friend prefers it more upright (so the logos face forward) with less sweep. Is there an ideal way to set this up?

Whatever feels good. Make sure you take a multitool on your next good ride and adjust, ride a few miles, adjust, ride, adjust. You'll figure out what's best.
Just make sure you give yourself a chance to really see what it feels like before you change it up.

I'm pretty sure this is a preference thing. Most people I know roll the bars back a little, but I do know a couple of people who run them pretty much upright. I find that if they aren't rolled back though, the bike has strange handling characteristics. There's no feel at lower speeds, you have to consciously steer the bike through technical sections. Maybe that's just me though.

Stay away from backwards or upside down.:D
Shy of that, is comes down to preference, and I'm with you: sweep is your friend.

It's going to look f*ck all goofy with bar ends, though.
