I will be travelling to the Burgh after work today and I am hoping to ride. I would like to hit a trail but I also brought my fixie just in case they are all slop and I am limited to the road. Some insight into the current trail conditions would be greatly appreciated!:)

Please do not ride the trails right now. They are thawing out and are extremly vernable right now. It will be a couple/few weeks untill the trails are OK. :D

That is what I was wondering. Thanks, I'll stick to the pavement on maybe a pub crawl.

I would be into some city riding this weekend. Funny, because I had been thinking of going to Ray's on Saturday. But I'm feeling a little lazy now that we've shipped #127, and just want to stay close to home. When are you thinking about riding?

Yeah, thanks for saying that. I feel like a hall monitor or a broken record when I say it anymore, but it's the truth. Sure, the trails are gonna get eroded anyhow and other trail users are going to be out there, but that doesn't mean we have to add to the problem.

And I even understand the "need to ride" philosophy, and sometimes I carve a rut or two riding wet trails, but it's gotta be the exception, not the rule.

And if you're ever in the 412... Holla at a playa, holla at a playa...

Sounds like it's on... Pittsburgh Kid, what's the word?

I Probably should top it off by showing up with a medieval helmet and a sword.

(I told them I might be a little tipsy when I get home.)

If everyone has different times they are planning to ride, that's cool. My buddy Ethan is meeting up with me Saturday and that is one of the main reasons I'll be in town.

Ok, I talked to another friend who wants to ride early, so what say we meet at the BBT at 1pm?

Work for everyone (or anyone)? Let me know and I'll pass the word along.

I am really bummed that I am 2,782 miles away from the 'burgh right now.

I left for the Burgh right after my last post so I didn't catch yours Jeff. So, did you all ride? I parked down at PNC park at about 12:30 and headed to the Church. After a couple Belgium dubbels and lunch my buddy and I headed back to my ride and grabbed a Imperial Stout and shot down to the point, then rode all over the downtown area until quarter after 5 (Right when the sun started to come out.) It was a blast but I wish I would of checked the forum at my family's house. I'll be back the last weekend of April to ride again...

Me, Brad and Poison Idea hit a couple bars with bike riding in between. It was pretty awesome—we had great weather, took it easy on the hills and saw some nice river views. We hit Bloomfield, Southside, Homestead, Squirrel Hill and Oakland.

Oh yeah, it was funny seeing Trailer Rails drive by on our way into Squirrel Hill.

Once again, I can't wait to get back on the trail.

I missed all the rides this weekend. I was getting set to go out with Mo and Justin(tall bearded one, not new hire one), but I was putting what I thought where the finishing touches on the Karate Monkey.

Yeah, right. Discs, gears, fenders and 287 v levers do not an easy build make.

Ended up riding my fix that i haven't ridden in months because it won't fit fenders.

If yer gonna live in the 'burgh an'nat riding w/Pinko and Jeff you'd better learn to relish hills. Butter be damned.

I hear though that Penn Pilsner gives one the genetics of Marco Pantani. Like an elixir with genetic modification capabilities.

Just sayin.
