Does anyone ride one of these? I am thinking about swapping out my frame (old trek 4500) for one of these. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

I think phlatlander has one...there was a review several issues back. Click on the Print Rag button up and to the right. Look for bike reviews...it should be in there.

I've had mine almost 7 years & it's been good to me. Very stiff frame - you feel it after a couple hours on the trail - but it's nice & responsive. Another upside is that it feels a bit more BMXey than other hartails (see seatpost length - that's a Large frame & I am 6') but i like it that way - easy to flick around twists & maneuver through the twitchy embedded rock gardens. My Chameleon has always been single & I'm betting it'll stay that way.
As I get older & this aluminum takes it's toll on me, I may look into a steel—wait, what am I saying?—OF COURSE I will look into getting a steel hartdail (again)...regardless of age. ;)
Not sure how much of a ride difference coming from an aluminum Trek would be, and the SC frame might actually be heavier with all the gusseting, but buying one for its singlespeedability is good enough reason for me.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find anyone with anything bad to say about the Cham.
