5/29 Brainfart

Word. My home town is going through the same thing, looking to move the middle and high schools from effectively downtown to the outskirts. The elementary school has been out there for years. Direct access is via a wide, relatively low speed road (when the cops are enforcing the limit), but its still some of the worst riding around imo. Give my child neighborhoods to traverse, trees and mailboxes and friendly neighbors to lend a hand if he gets into trouble, not a heartless inhuman transportation corridor where the only people he'll see will be zooming by at 4x his speed in a metal box oblivious to the world around them.

I always, always try to support the loacal businesses first. If I can't find what I need locally, I at least try to do business with independently owned companies. It is only a last resort that I go big. It is tough, though.
