For those of you who are already using lock-on grips, which ones do you prefer? I am leaning towards getting the Oury's 'cause they sound the plushest.

Also, are the lock-on clamps standardized? Can I use Oury clamps on an ODI grip or vice-versa?

I've ridden the Oury and the Ruffians for a couple of years. The clamps are universal. They're great grips, super easy installation and removal. The Oury clamp on grips don't seem to be quite as big as the normal grips, but that's a good thing in my case.

The Oury grips use the ODI Lock On clamps, as do Cane Creek, Race Face, Lizard Skins, one of the Salsa grips (Juegos De Fuegos).

I prefer the discontinued Bontrager Ergo grips, but I also am using Lizard Skin, Cane Creek and the Race Face.

Hi
I started out with the ODI Ruffians - they look cool, but are somewhat rough on your hands. Now I`m using the ODI Rogue and I haven`t had any problems with them - they`re described as soft/plush too.

rogues - kinda fat for small hands, also a little short. ruffians - thinner and longer.

lock-on is handy if you change the config of your rig a lot (like taking brake levers off going from fixed gear to single speed), or if you torque hard on your grips and pull them off regularly. otherwise, normal grips are cheaper and have way more variety of sizes, styles, colors, etc.

I'm partial to the Yeti lock-on grips. I went from the traditional yeti grip to the lock-on; did notice that the lock on is a bit less squishy, and feels slightly thinner but works for me. I ride in gloves with little to no padding also.

I love the ruffians--have tried the rogues and the lizard skins north shores as well, but always come back to the ruffians.

Tip: performance has a "house-brand" grip (obviously made by ODI) that is a ruffian, with plastic lock-on clamps built in. 10 bucks! Sure, the end caps aren't reusable, but they still bolt on, and they're lighter than the ODI setup, and cost the same as the grip alone for the ODIs. I've been using them in wet conditions for 6 months without any problems--worth looking at.

On the rigid, I like the plushness of the Ourys. I've got a few pair. On the squish, I use the Yetis. (both lockers)

I have oury's, like em. Also have the ruffians, they feel racey, like em. Also have the rogues, like em, but not my favorite.

Has it been wet in Seattle lately? Nothing but blue skies on the East Side the past few months...

I have a pair of ODI Rouges and love them very very much cause I used to shift my conventional grips out of place. Plus I like the size of the ODI Rouges better. I still use regular grips, ODI (made in the USA) and a pair of YETI's but they are too firm for me 'cause I like gloves with minimal to no padding.

I like the thickness of the ODI Rogues myself. I wear gloves but have large hands so the Ruffians are a little thin for me. The Rogues are quite plush, very comfy.

I picked up some Oury lock-ons and some Ergon MP-1 lock-on grips.

We'll see how it goes.
