Ok I love the thing to death, but I'm finally willing to do something about my hands. I've got the bars up about as high as they go, and as close to me as I can get them, and I still get sore hands. Yes, I wear gloves, two layers of grip tape, all that. My bars are way higher than the other roadies I see cruising around here, and I asked them: they never get hand problems. Any ideas? I see fixie pictures with what looks like ridiculously long seatposts and lots of drop, so I'm wondering if the frame is just too big for me...

Where does it hurt?
No numbness?
What kind of pain is it (e.g., from pressure vs. muscle soreness)?

i've had sore/numb hands with too big of a frame before as well .. it's just too much reach/pressure on the palms.
if it is a mass produced frame it shouldn't be too difficult to find something similar in a more appropriate size.
nashbar's road frame (http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=130&subcategory=1176&brand=&sku=6064&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Shop%20by%20Subcat%3A%20Frames% 2FBikes) looks decent for the money ..

Why dont you post pics of you on the bike, or at least of the bike itsself for our critical amusement.

can you move the seat forward a bit without affecting your knee's?

I was told that your front axle should be directly under where the stem meets the bars for a road bike.
Am I right?... Wrong?... Anyone...

Right on the palm, same axis as the creases created when you close your fingers, kinda at the base of the thumb. It's pressure, no numbness, no muscle soreness. I'll see about pics. I've tried messing with the saddle position, it doesn't help much either way.
My knees don't bug me, my back doesn't bug me...just my hands. And possibly my neck from having to look up so much (hint of a too large frame maybe?)

So many times, have I wished I had a mirror mounted on my top tube so I could look down and relax.:D
And I shouldn't because I am a short guy so I look up alot.

it's got drop bars and I couldn't stand those on a mtb, but thanks for the suggestion anyway.
as for stem length, brand new digital calipers (damn you princess auto tool store!) says 75mm from the center of the bars to the center of the top cap, so it's probably an 80mm stem. Do they make short roadie stems?
