View Full Version : Twisted wheels
My new fixie has twisted spokes on the rear wheel,36 hole with cross 3 pattern.I would like to make the front 32 hole to match.Do I have to use cross 3 or will cross 2 work also?New to wheel building so any help will be welcome.

If you're saying "to match"... I'd say do what matches.
not familiar with the 3x pattern myself, but hey.

3 cross is kinda the standard for MTB wheels due to high strength.

I cant think of any reason why you shouldn't do 3 cross on the front 32 hole hub. Me think 32X3 cross would look better than 32X2 cross as far as matching the rear.

Close but only 2 twisted,I messed with it last night and the same spokes worked fine. Now that the wheel is done time to start cutting on the frame.
