Palm Desert, CA

I'm going to Palm Desert for 4 days, then to Sea Otter. Any suggestions for riding down around Palm Desert? Not looking for desert death rides or endless 6-hour climbs. They have their place, but i'm traveling with family, and i'll be riding solo.
