buffalo critical mass was eradicated by an unprovoked police riot last month. a peacfull ride of 76 bicyclists was stoped when confused cops stoped two riders and ticketed them, unsure of what to book them for more kept showing up. the third car on the sceene lept from there car with battons in hand and began pushing the crowd and chopping at peoples leggs in an attempt to disperse the crowd. 13 cop cars and 28 policeman arrived and 9 people were arrested. one arrest came after a motorist left her car and pleaded with police to stop beating people, they left her car running in the street with two teens in it who were un licenced. charges ranging from felony rioting to felony resisting arrest were given to all arrested. local media has done a sub par job exposing the real events that took place, and local FBI is sed to be investigating acusations of police brutallity. all this cuz of a bike ride.

Its sad when things like this happen, especially when there is mindless violence like this involved. Almost makes me want to start a league here in kokomo, i know there would be similar happenings here sadly. Its also sad how few people have any literacy on issues about bikes, i have a lot of respect for the educators and adovocate groups who educate bikers and non bikers alike

yeah in april this happened in pittsburgh, some bikers were arrested and one was even targeted because he was a "punk". he said that the popo have been keeping their eyes on him at the last few actions he's participated in
