So I got my hands on some free 700c wheels for road duty. However they are 7 speed. I got them all un assembled. Can I switch the 7 speed freehub with the 8/9speed freehub, and axle? I've looked at them, and it seems like it will work, but not sure.

Ahh yessir there are many spacers here. Just slip a few off toss on a cog. VIOLA! OK never mind.

"to cheap" ...to buy a vowel. ;)

If you are going SS, you don't have to change anything.

Wait...700c and 7 speed? These must be road wheels, probably with 130mm spacing instead of 135mm. Not a problem if your bike is steel.
