PA bikers please take the time to check out the link below.

http://www.dirtragmag.com/features/news/index.php?ID=97

If you do, and follow the link to the DCNR site, you will find that you have the opportunity (for a limited time) to give written feedback to the Department's resource management plan.

I think it would be in our best interest if as many mountain bikers as possible take the time to make comments and let the DCNR know that we want continued, ecologically sound, shared-use access to riding on state lands. Comments really will make a difference. Attending one of the public meetings is another option to learn about the plan, and to voice your opinion.

Please get involved and help make a difference. Let the DCNR know that there we mountain bikers are out there. I'm not trying to put exact words in your mouths, just tell 'em whatever's on your mind. Do whatever you want, except ignore this opportunity.
:p

Karl, I am a registered voter in PA (Columbia County) but I am currently living overseas. I haven't been able to keep up with any politics in PA. Is there a site or something that deals with these issues and shows who supports them or who doesn't?

Try these sites, ... or just email the person representing your hometown and and ask 'em where thay stand on ceratin issues. email back and tell 'em that closing state-owned land to various users is not what you like them doing as your elected representative.

- www.vote-smart.org - go to state government resources and contact information.

Thanks for the information, Slacker. I was on the road at the NCS race in Snowshoe, WV, so I"m a bit tardy checking the Forums....

For bike issues, you can check www.bikekmba.org which is the Keystone MTB Assoc web site. It's a bit static at the moment, but there is some talk of pumping up the volume in the near future.

And keep yer eyes on DR Forums, as I get info, I'll post it here too.
