I think I need to build a treadmill bike like that...

and pulling an office chair down the street....

ok, I think I've got my long weekend planned out :)

What was missing was a person in the office chair being towed down the street. That would have been amusing, especially around corners.

The idea of a treadmill bike for diehard runners is brilliant, I'll bet that will be on some TV channel's Paid Programming inside a month.

That was very funny.

Try and take that down some single track.

I wonder if the treadmill bike is a fixie... Can you coast and just surf that thing down hills? It'd be sweet if you didn't have to run the whole time.

apperantly yes, watch the vid of it going down stairs.

I think I'm gonna build me one. The hard part is reversing the direction the treadmill rollers would be turning a cog. I think I have that figured out though, took inspiration from the timing belt in my car. The other hard part is finding a doner treadmill. I've got plans running around in my head to make it geared. I only wish I'd thought of the idea first. Of course, it WAS a fellow canadian that thought of it. I think I'm going to do the icebike race this year on one.

Try and take that down some single track.I bet I know how that idea developed, that's what my first wheel build looked like after it was laced... :D a self contained pump track and bicycle... pretty cool.

I like it. I also enjoyed the rendition of Smashing Pumpkins in the background.

Oh yeah!!! a mock up of an entire office would be the best, big bed frame and some hevay duty castors, some welding, a light chair, maybe a mock desck and tv/stereo like in a model house display... oh yeah the possibilities are lookin better! someone inthe chair, pencil/pen holder, commputer etc. etc. :p :p
