Purple Martins.
After weeks of daily rain leaving lots of standing water in the area, I just got done hanging out with my boy in the back yard diggin' worms up for fishing tomorrow. Not one skeeter. Heck, no flying bugs for that matter. Saw a couple bats flying around, too, so they come in a close second.
I love those birds.

Amen.
However, the excessive rain has ruined me and my son's butterfly garden--or as he calls it, a butterfly truck stop. Schools these days. We both agree that it is better to cater to thier migration rather than hatch and release them

The 42T chainring I just put on the front of the Chocolate Monocog 29. Now we'll test her out as a commuter again.
Maybe the 31km won't take 2.25 hours this time?

I'm doing my part for CO2 reduction, I'm locking up a few grams of carbon and keeping it out of the atmosphere by mounting it on my bike.
