So, I worked on a friend's bike today that is the brewer for a local brewery and he mentioned that he was bringing 2 kegs over to the opening of a new bike shop across the street. I helped him with that and we went back to the brewery for some free brew. The brewery is growing hops on the front of the building and I noticed some runners sprouting up and asked for them and it was no problem.
Then about and hour later, we are drinking outside the brewery and he noticed me looking at all the stringers going up 20' on the wall of the building and asked if I wanted one. I told him no but he said "wait a sec." and walked around back. He came back with a shove and dug up a whole stringer for me!!! This must be the best payment I have ever received for bike work!!!
You can't see but the hops run about 20' into my living room!!!
