Oh yeah, Love the show.:D I think they might actually whack Tony in the last episode. I mean they are not painting him in a sympathetic light in this last season. Part of me thinks that is the only way to end the show.
Just my $.02.

How about having AJ completely snap and whacking Tony ?? Or the Russian mobster that they lost in the woods a couple seasons ago comes back and nukes them all.

My take is that Tony survives after a confrontation with Phil. Somehow the FBI has to play into this too...
I've noticed how the producers have painted Tony in the same light as "The Teflon Don" the entire time.
Oh, and that prick Pauly has to get whacked.

I'm proud to say that I have never watched a single episode of The Sopranos, Friends or Seinfeld.
I'm more of a Mythbusters type guy.

That has to be tied back in somehow!! That one was classic.

One scenerio is Pauly offing Tony to get in good w/ New York. Think about how Tony almost took out Pauly and then backed off. What if that was a mistake?

Paulie has flirted w/ NY before. Johnny Sac was playing him. Carmine[old old NY boss] didn't know who he was.
All I have to say is that Phil is a much bigger scumbag than Tony. They wacked Vito in the hotel room for being gay w/ Phil watching. And that fat Dom got his from Silvio and Carlo @ the 'bing.
Tony wacks people for stuff like being a rat[Big Pussy],animal cruelty[Ralph] and bad parenting[Christopher]

I think Tony is going to survive simply b/c he is far more redeemable than Phil. Going to be interesting for sure. I wonder if this one will be longer than usual tonight...

The important thing is that Phill's head got popped like a zit. At first I was a little angry about the ending. It might be good to leave it to your own imagination though. End it the way you want.
I thought it was a great ending... but, I've never needed closure. The cut on the last scene was as well timed as could be. Great stuff. dlee

I was not disappointed. The Vito thing really brought Phil's evil over the top for me. Mrs. Phil is a nice portrait of arch evil head up the ass hypocrasy too.
The tension in the diner was extremely well done. You're sitting there thinking the guy at the counter or the hip hoppers.........Well done IMO.
Carlo flipped? His son got busted selling ecstasy. I guess Carlo didn't want the rotten little creep [remember the sulphuric acid] to do any time at all. Stupid stupid stupid. I didn't think Carlo was that soft. Especially after the way he gutted Fat Dom last season.
Here's another Sopranos thought. The only thing the FBI had on Adriana was cocaine. She was a first time offender. Had she done 6 mos. to a year in jail she would have been treated like a hero when she got out. She let those bumbling idiots[fictional FBI] play her.

Actually, Adriana would have had to go anyway. She ran the club where the drugs were found. That gave the FBI probable cause to start investigating around, which would have put the family in jeopardy. Using her was a means to an end, though -- the FBI wanted to make their cases stick and a witness would do that far better. She was leverage. She was dead the moment she got picked up because (1) she wasn't in the family and therefore couldn't be trusted, and (2) she'd been stupid enough to bring the heat on them.
Carlo turning was no big surprise, either. He talked about his son like the guy was everything to him.

I was really disappointed by the ending. Felt like a cop out to me. What I liked about the show was how it didnt glamorize these scumbags. None of them are redeamable. There is no justification for the bulk of their actions.
Before Tony is put on some kind-of pedestal, Think about the last episode. Did he care that Sylvio was in a coma? No. To him, Sylvio had failed and his condition was due to weakness. Same with Bobby.
Dont forget he killed Christopher. Not because he could have endangered his child, but because Tony felt he could no longer trust him. Again, he felt Christopher had failed. Largely due to his weakness for drugs/alcohol.
I was really hoping Tony would get killed. It is the only thing he really deserved.

Yes they're all scumbags. If there's a hell, certainly Tony's character will be there. Even Meadow will likely be there. She knows where her tuition came from.
On the Estrogen/catty front. Oh yeah I'm goin' there. Meadow's delinquent friend being in med school was a juicy and well deserved slap for Carmela. Ha ha you catty shallow bitch.
