Greetings all,
Just wanted to give anyone who's interested a quick heads-up -- I've put up a photo gallery from the first day of the GDR here: www.adventurecycling.org/gdrgallery2007
Also, the homepage for Adventure Cycling will be about the race for the next few days: www.adventurecycling.org (if anyone wants to check it out after it's been taken down, they can view it here: www.adventurecycling.org/index20070620.cfm )
There is a link on the homepage to a great interview with Jay P that is definitely worth reading. Gives good insight into his mindset. The guy is amped. And, man, does he have one sweet bike.
It was a blast meeting all the racers -- great group of guys. Plus, I'll take any excuse to get up in that country. Incredible place to ride a bike (and the same place where we did this trip last year: http://www.adventurecycling.org/features/ultralightgallery/gallery1.cfm )
I may put another gallery up on my personal photo page of other shots from the day with some commentary, if enough people are interested.
Great race this year. I check the blog about 5,000 times a day. If Jay can maintain this pace the guy is gonna be a legend.
Cheers,
AT
