This is my beloved Ellsworth Isis. This was my baby for many years but since moving to Chicago I just haven’t ridden it much. In fact it hasn’t really been ridden at all for more than a year and a half, just been sitting in my room. Now it’s time to sell it. I am asking $1,000 but I am pretty flexible at this point and as long as you don’t insult me we can probably come to an agreement.
The frame itself is in great shape, with only one minor ding (pictured) and a few scratches. But truthfully, with the anodized paint job not much really hurts these things. There are no dents anywhere. I just put that new/used shock on this spring and also ordered new bushings for it from Fox and installed those too. The King headset is in great shape and is still smooth like new.
I had just re-cabled the derailleurs prior to moving here so those are in good shape. I also repacked the front hub, with new Phil Wood grease, and adjusted the rear one so those are great. The bottom bracket was also recently re-greased and adjusted. I am not going to pretend that the bike might not need a tune-up and maybe a new chain. But other than that everything is in fine shape. Oh, and I removed the original stickers, and had my own on there for a while.
Here are the nitty gritty details:
Ellsworth Isis 15” frame
Marzocchi ’03 MX Comp w/ETA
Fox Vanilla Float
Chris King headset
Truvativ Firex crankset
Blackspire 2-ring bashguard
Raceface Prodigy seatpost
Club Roost handlebar
Shimano XT shifter/brake lever (a little banged up but functional)
Shimano XT rear derailleur
Shimano Deore front derailleur
Avid mechanical disc brakes f&r
Shimano Deore disc hubs f&r
Mavic F219 Disc Rims f&r
Nokian NBX 2.3 tires f&r
Please pay with PayPal or cashiers check (that must clear first). Please send me an email with your phone number if you are serious and we can discuss the details.
Thanks!
