I have been really happy with my Alchemy Goods messenger bag, which happens to be made here in good old Seattle. Eli and his team are cool folks, and they put together a company that recycles Bike Tubes and Car Seatbelts into messenger bags. The one I have here is 73% recycled content, has great reflectivity, and is pretty much waterproof as after they stitch the tubes together they seam seal them on the inside:

In addition, it has great pockets on the inside, and I really like the zipper pulls. Gotta love the details. Shops can also arrange to recycle tubes at their location, and Alchemy will arrange for them to be picked up!

I am in Kent now. I used to actually live in South Lake Tahoe, and my actual apartment is gone now with the fire that moved through.
I will be in touch regarding a ride:D

A good friend of mine that I ride with moved here from Tahoe. I think you'll find there's some pretty great riding to be had in the high country. We did Miller Peak out by Cle Ellum this weekend: 5000 ft of elevation in 22 miles (according to the GPS)--probably 8 miles of hike-a-bike up loose shale. Crazy but awesome ride.
