This article (http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/07/01/sports/BIKE.php) from the International Herald Tribune tells of the latest buzz-phrase scandal that you haven't heard of yet, but when some big names get their ticket pulled from Le Tour, you will. Petacchi just got his hall pass for Salbutamol revoked (http://www.velonews.com/news/fea/12559.0.html) and as the IHT article says he's one of the 40% of cyclists with a doctor's note for asthma - a far higher percentage than any other group in the general population. Best quote from the Tribune piece: "Non-negative" is a way of saying "positive" without having to say you're sorry." With all this going on, the greatest security threat to the start of the Tour might indeed be doctors in late model sedans, just not the ones Scotland Yard is currently investigating. Viva!
