Think these arms would work?

They would work, assuming you have a 5 arm spider. Here be some bargain cranks (http://fmfbmx.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=4259204XX&Category_Code=C) that also work

Oi! I notice both 50 and Myron suggesting short cranks,is it not the norm to run longer cranks when SSing? Don't most suggest running 180mm or longer? Am I mistaken or is there something they are not telling me? For those who may be wondering I am using 170's or 175's on most of my fleet except the DH bike which has 165's...

Those seem solid. I do have a 5 arm spider... I wouldn't have to sell my other ride to finance the crank purchase either....

I run the old Race Face Turbine 175 crank on the square taper on my Karate Monkey SS. Ain't done me wrong yet. Don't exactly know where to get them nowadays, as I've had mine in my inventory for quite a few years now. But if you can find them, I think they'll be quite bulletproof for you based on my experiences with them.

They are awesome, but they only allow the use of
White Ind. chainrings. Which is not a bad thing
either. :)

I love those cranks! I've got a set on my 1x1 along with a stainless steel Surly chainring. It's a bomb-proof combo.
There's a nice black 180mm pair posted on ebay.
After further review, in addition to the 180's, there are also a yellow pair of 170's and a black pair of 175's up.

Middleburn (http://www.middleburn.co.uk/) are the UK equivalent of White Ind with high end cranks that can still be had in square taper versions.

Just in case you forget, there will be a refresher course this Wednesday at 6(ish).
stay off the blue, it's fuller of thorns, and hippie droppings.

And a few snakes.. Only 4 kinds of snakes scare me,
1. Big ones
2. Little ones
3. Dead ones
4. Live ones.
Had a good time nonetheless.

Mostly they don't bother me, except the ones that rattle, and the kind that set motionless, hoping you don't see them, they both have hypodermic type teefs.

Here was a friendly guy, I handed him to Michael head first to make sure he wasn't aggressive.
