I'm torn between these two models for my first fixie. The PW looks really cool and provides a smooth ride with its chromoly frame. The Langster's aluminum frame provides a much stiffer ride, but is lighter and my sense is, a faster bike. I think I can get the Specialized about $60 cheaper on close-out ($589), than the PW ($649). I haven't heard about any close-out pricing on the PW, just that they may be running in short supply. Thoughts?

While I haven't ridden a Langster, I own a Paddy Wagon and adore it. It's zippy, versatile, and I've never had a problem with shakes and rattles on the road, save for on especially raw gravel roads. Otherwise, it handles everything from the loopy, up-and-down streets of downtown Helena to the gravel and rougher roads of the surrounding county. (It can tackle hills surprisingly well, if you have the mojo to keep a steady uphill pace) It's a pretty smooth, well-rounded, fair-weather rider.
