What do you guys think? I've got an interesting geared bike, but it's not been ridden since I put my ss together a month ago... am wondering if I should sell her? So much more maintainence - shock, deraillures, etc.... Part of me says keep, but the other part says to hell w/ it, and focus on ss upgrades and the simple attraction of having a nearly maintainence free rigid one speed ride (in addition to my road bike).... thoughts?

I'd keep it if it is not a monetary issue. If you haven't ridden it in a years time, then I would consider selling it. I have geared and ss bikes. Sometimes it is nice to have options.

Mr Cap,
I agree with Jerman - if you don't need the cash/space then keep it. I have a Superlight that hasn't seen the dirt for 5 years, but I can't seem to part with it knowing that I'd only get maybe $600 for the +$2000 investment. They are good backup bikes/ loaner bikes/ Colorado bikes (if I ever take a vacation again)...

Indeed. 18 incher man. Is the solidest ride ever created. Trek - wisconsin made frame - sid fork - avid brakes - sram components. You want to ride her? I'll keep her around for you.

Mr Budget

I will bring a large geared dual suspension Superlight (like Opie's) & a large Chameleon SS to Clinton in addition to my Big Black Thing (http://psyclestore.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_49&products_id=159). I will ride whatever feels right & you are welcome to the scraps. This way you have Cap's geared hardtail, my geared dualie, my geared SS hardtail, or my rigid Big Black Thing (http://psyclestore.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_49&products_id=159) at your disposal. Not sure if you can handle the latter. I hear their performance is lost in translation when operated by opposite hemisphericals. They are more tailored for the CN Rockies.

So you can leave the KHS at home.

And every man knew, as the captain did too,
T'was the witch of November come stealin'.
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the Gales of November came slashin'.
When afternoon came it was freezin' rain
In the face of a hurricane west wind.

I don't think anyone would not ride with
you, if you so chose to ride whatever you want,
whenever you want.

Keep the geared bike. I actually had a dream that I was riding a bike w/ gears and I was really enjoying it... someday I'll get one up and running again.

Hey, it's the least I could do since you fools are chuckin' up millions of pesos to get here. Have Nogs dust off the Transrocky demo bikes & bring them too. Now, my lawyer will provide to you a few documents you need to sign then you can be on your way...
