I'm going to be traveling out to Lancaster, Pa., from Pittsburgh at the end of this month. I'll be there 2-3 days on business, so I was figuring on taking a bike with me. Can anyone clue me in to trails near Lancaster? There's a free copy of the poster Long Term Parking to the person with the best tip:-) John

You'll be right close to Mt. Gretna, which has some fine mountain biking. You could probably hook up with Bill Gentile of Mt. Gretna Mountain Bikes (http://www.gretnabikes.com) and I assure you he'll know who you are... he's an old school Dirt Rag dude.

I second the Mt Gretna idea. There were several other trails off of 322 but most of them are on game lands, I'm not sure if they're open or closed. Check with Bill at Gretna bikes, also call Green Mt. Cyclery which is just north of Lancaster, they will have local knowledge and they used to have cool cloth maps of the Gretna trails.

I live about 45 mins. north, if you want to drive there are several local trails listed on my site.
