I heard a rumor that there is some single track near Johnstown along or near the Stony Creek.
Does anyone have any details?
I go through J-town quite a bit. Stackhouse? Park is a neat little gem with some carriage trails in near urban setting.
Thanks.

I'll answer my own post!
There is a small network of trails in Highlands Park.
Highlands park is located West of the Route 56 bypass. Take the Walters Avenue Exit. Walters Av is the first exit East of US219. Head West on Walters Av. (Follow signs for Johnstown BMX) near the National Guard Armory, turn North and eventually (in about a mile) enter the park. Park near the tennis courts and look for an entrance to the trails. There is a loop trail that goes around the edge of the park, designed for hikers and bikers.... there are a bunch of interconnecting ATB specific trails.
The Johnstown BMX track is also located in the park. I managed about 6 miles of trails, with some repeats... I don't think I got all of the trails.. but I can't image that there is more than a couple of miles that I missed.
I don't think these trails are worth a special trip, but if you are in the area anyways, they are good for a couple hours of riding.

Wow...next time I'm out there, I'll hit some of those trails. I used to ride some up near Loretto, but the last time I was there to do that was about seven years ago. Cool.

Speaking of Loretto, check out this article:

No reason why you can't ATB at an ATV area! (picking 0ff-peak ATV hours would be a good idea.)
