I am looking for a 30t SS front chainring, 5 bolt, 110 mm, standard size. Does anyone make these? I have an old raceface 5 arm next crankset that I want to use, and haven't found anything yet. Thanks for all info. I will probably have to use a 34t, but don't want to.

thanks,
Darren

what are you running in the back? couldn't you change that out? unless of course you got a white Ind freewheel or something else $$$ already.

ifrider,

If I am not mistaken, the smallest size for a 5 bold 110 BCD is 34t. To go any smaller, you'll have to go to the "granny" spot. I have a 30t for the 74 BCD inner ring spot that I use on my CX bike in the winter.

I agree w/ Hand/of/Midas. I'd change out the rear. What gear ratio are you shooting for? 2:1 is a good start, so if you want a 30 up front you'll have to go w/ a 15 in the back. Currently I am running a 32/17, which is 1.88:1, which works a bit better for the Front Range of Colorado (for me anyhow).

That's what I have found, the smallest being a 34t. I guess I will have to run a 22t cog in the rear of my 29er. Was hoping to go 30 18 like on my previous 29er. I will just get a 34t. thanks!

if you grab a 94bcd crankset you can get a 30T. Lots of chainrings out there for 94bcd 5 bolt too.

Check out the Rocket Rings they sell at Harris Cyclery. They come in a crazy number of sizes and they're double drilled for either five arm bolt pattern std.
