Rode across the entire state of Rhode Island yesterday. Fortunately, that's not all that far. We followed the aptly named North South Trail that runs down the western edge of the smallest state from Massachusetts to the Atlantic. Here's a little recap:

Now that's what I call an epic! Nice write up, thanks for sharing.

So how far was it, and what was the terrain like?

Sounds like a lot of fun :D

76 miles. Mixed bag of singletrack, fire roads, and some country roads. Really cool to slice right down and get a true cross section of a place.

North to South. That's down hill, right? Nice going.

That is kick ass man. I teach geography in the inner city here in Kansas City, and my kids always say "What's with those states out there? Why are they so small?" They have come to the conclusion that New York should just consume all of the new england states. Kinda funny. That sounds like one hell of a ride.

Ahhh Kansas...

Endless wheat and sky. It was actually one of the most memorable and enjoyable sections of a cross country ride I did several years ago. Luckily I was going with the wind so it was rippin fast, otherwise it would have been tortuous!

Ha ha, I'm a dope! Way to impress the geography teacher...I realized right after I posted that, that you probably live in Missouri, not Kansas! Anyways, both states were fun to ride through, took the KT Trail through MO...
