My Albatross bars are slipping slightly, is there an old time remedy for this
like mixing oil and tape?
Should I just torque it down?
Any ideas?
The slippage did'nt happen with the shop build it happened when I reversed the
Albatrosses.

Are you sure your stem is the right diameter?
Any suggestion I have is probably dangerous. I use a bit of diet pepsi can as shim... and then torque down.
Life is pretty cheap for my sort.

On mine, I've noticed that you have to crank them down pretty hard. The extra width and the longish length causes some torque from side to side and some leverage from the rear of the h-bars. These have to be about the coolest and most comfy bars that I have ever used for riding, from my 10 mile commute to a few centuries to multi-day trips. Thinking about getting another pair and running them upside down on my new custom fixie (getting built specially for Dirt Drops but these will work with no big problem). Just make sure the stem is the right diameter - 25.4 - and crank those bolts!

The stem is the right diameter, what the problem was is the
stem has a plate with two bolts that have to be tightened
equally. I just had one bolt all the way down.
This is just one of those live and learn things.
Oh yeah, and I am one to use a cut up Pepsi can for
this sort of thing.
I like the albatrosses because of the upright comfy ride
and also the other position where you can use it almost
like flat bar. When you put it upside down the balence
improves significantly.
