Well .. not really. So the threads on the QR squewer stripped on the way to work this morning. Needless to say, I walked the rest of the way, which was only about two miles. I'm not pissed, more ambivilent than anything. Its funny, on some level I knew this was going to happen. I got up early, left early, wore a sweater, even wore comfortable shoes instead of flip-flops. It wasn't so bad. I just wanted to bitch.
Thanks guys :D

Hey, Rob, how and why would they strip?
Vent away, like anybody gives a rats ass....;)

I would guess it stripped because it was being used in an SS application with a big gear. It was also pretty old. I guess it had been tightened down one time too many and the little threads couldn't take it. But its cool, though. I went home with some Gary bars and built up a monster cross bike. Then I took the old three-speed wet weather commuter and put on the Scott bars with the built in aero position. Then I took the old beach cruiser, stripped it, painted it a navy blue, and swapped on a BMX stem, bar, and a 700c fixie wheelset. I feel like a little kid agian. :D
