It's been hard trying to find a good review on this wheel set. Im looking to upgrade, but my old wheelset has 32spokes per wheel and the FSA mentioned above has 24.

I'm a 220lb xc rider who likes to get off the ground every once and awhile. Nothing huge, less than 5ft. Will these have any trouble holding up?

Ive read some reviews on mavic crossride (also 24 hole) and some (220lbs and similar riding style) say that they have had problems with the strength of the wheel.

Looking to spend 200-300

Lil help.

The FSA probably won't be as strong as the CrossRides. For a 200 - 300 dollar set of wheels it's impossible to get everything you want out of them I think.

I have a set of the FSAs but I try to ride them with some finesse as much as possible. I weigh 170#, rarely drop anything, and jump very little. I have ridden them hard and they've held up so far (5 rides maybe), but you're describing a riding style that the wheels were not intended for. 5ft drop is pretty high up man, that's almost as high as many of us stand - wouldn't equate that with a XC wheel set and being happy with the results.

If you're truly dropping 4 ft, you need to look outside of the XC realm for sure. I think I'd go with the CrossRides if those are your two choices.

yea, you need bigger rims, id look at having a set laced up, something like mavic 321 rims and hope hubs. but id need more info for a better recommendation

Thanks for your feedback.

5 ft may have been a bit of an exaggeration, but I didn't want to rule anything out.

Any opinions on these?:
