SUCCESS STORY: Construction to begin on MTB trail system in Swatara State Park. Help build the future, volunteer your time. I"m forwarding info I got from the local advocate:
Here is the information that I promised all of you. Also, If you have any loppers, shovels, mattocks or steel rakes feel free to bring them (we do have some tools but it does not hurt to have a few extra). Additionally, remember to bring work gloves, bug spray, water, and food.
Please come out and show your support!
Date: Saturday August 9TH as our main day
and additionally Sunday the 10TH
Time: 9 A.M. to ?
Where: Swatara State Park
From Harrisburg: Take 81 North to the Lickdale exit and proceed to 72 North. This will turn into 443 East. Follow 443 East straight until you see State Park Rd and turn right onto it.
From: Lebanon: Take 72 North which will turn into 443 East. Follow 443 East straight until you see State Park Rd and turn right onto it.
