500 X 500 pixles is the max size to post. Just resize your photos to fit.

Should they be in a certain format? In jpeg I resized it, it only had a portion of the bike. any clues would be helpful. thanks

I give! Sorry, but I just don't know how to resize them. If there is anyone that has an interest in seeing the bikes, they are cool maybe I can email you the pics?
I just don't know how sorry.
I tried to upload them on ironspoke.com, but I couldn't figure it out? Damn it's frustrating in a digital world.

There's some cheaper image resizing software packages available

JPEG or JMP

JPEG or JMPJPEG it should get, but a JMP not likely. I would expect that to be a BMP or a JPG. Try renaming the JPEG file extension to JPG.

Hello,
I know Rocky had an issue with a critical error on Ironspoke but I believe some of those bugs have been corrected. I have had installed some code that should shrink down whatever size pic you post.
For Ironspoke you must be registered and logged in. Then click on the Reviews section in the upper left hand side of the tool bar and then click on Bike Reviews. Click on the word "bike" next to the photo of the bike and that will take you to the menu. In the middle of the page in blue writing the words "switch to keyword search" appears. There is a small blue phrase titled "Add a new bike review" just above that. You fill in the content and then at the bottom of the page there are 8 buttons or slots where you can browse your files and upload the pics. When you find your photos in your files you simply double click on the file and that picture/file populates the box next to the browse button. Thats it. I just did it. Now I do have the verbage on there that says:
PLEASE NOTE: Pictures must be 500 pixels x 375 pixels at 72 DPI to show properly.
Please use photo editing software to set the proportions of your picture.
But like I said I believe the code has been put in place where it will automatically shrink down your pics.
You can PM me if you need further assistance. I'd love to offer help to anyone who is trying to post.
Thanks!
Republican SS - I usually pop my photos in Publisher and resize them there. I believe it goes like this:
Insert picture from file - find your pic on your PC.
Right click on the little green dot.
Go down and click on format picture.
Click on the size tab - adjust the size until it meets the criteria - I usually shoot for under 4" x 4" and it seems to work just fine even though it's over the 500x500 limit.
Click on the green dot again and click on save as picture.
Save it as a jpeg. Close out of publisher. When it asks you if you want to save changes click NO - not sure why but it works and that's how I was taught to do it ages ago.
If anyone sees anything missing in the above please correct it
Good luck! -

Its best to use pixel values for resizing, the 4"x4" will depend entirely on how many DPI (dots per inch or pixels) you have the image set for.

I can't vouch for either of these, but they might help you get your pictures in a format that is easier for other sites to use:
http://www.resize2mail.com
www.resizr.com (http://www.resizr.com)
If you're using XP, "Paint" has some rudimentary resizing features and you can save in a variety of formats.

I 2nd this ... 3rd it, too. Really easy to use, and a lot of plugins available should you ever want to get more creative. Irfanview will pretty much supplant any basic editing software you got with your camera -- and do it faster and with less resources.
