Mmmmm. I was just saying to the wife how much I want to go for another visit to Scotland. There's one more reason.

While I really really wanna go to Scotland, you can just buy the stuff at Trader Joe's. It's even pretty cheap there... maybe $36?

Last summer in Scotland, I picked up some 18 year old single malt aged in a sherry cast. Ooooh boy was that good.
I gave a bottle of 22 year old single malt to my step-father. I should have kept it myself because he never opened it while I was there, so I didn't get to remind myself why I bought that one. I vaguely remember it as very good. Maybe I can get some while home for Christmas.
Both bottles were from small local distilleries in the central Highlands. Can't remember the name now.

I'd love to go to Scotland, at least two of my lines come from there.

Its awesome! I'd go back in a minute. Lots of territory to explore.
single malt aged in a sherry...
Cask. Yes, I have a little of that, too.
I did manage to cut waaaaaay back on the drinking. Now I might have one measured ounce of really good scotch a week. Or every other week. That's it. I enjoy it and it doesn't cause me any problems.
Only problem is that the other night I went to a swanky dinner with the partners, had 1 rather large scotch and maybe 2 glasses of Cakebread Cabernet and I was hurtin so bad the next day. I'm in great riding shape but sucky drinkin' shape. Oh well, better this way than the other.

Most likely the one aged in a sherry cask was McCallan.
